Background

Prior to that he spent 25 years in Information Technology as a computer programmer and analyst with a multi-national company. He worked on a variety of projects including distribution systems, invoicing, payroll (for 2500 people) and Y2K.

In 1997 David started selling products on the internet which resulted in his first website. Over the next 3 years he was asked to design websites for friends' businesses which was the incentive needed to start Bizlinks.

His wife Julie joined the company in 2005 and looks after the accounts as well as helping with website maintenance.

Why use the name "Bizlinks"?

BIZ is an abbreviation for "business". BUSINESS is defined as "a commercial enterprise or establishment". LINKS is defined as "a segment of text or a graphical item that serves as a cross-reference between parts of a hypertext document or between files or hypertext documents". BIZLINKS therefore describes the development of websites for businesses, including the provision of text that serves as a cross-reference between parts of hypertext documents.
